The Diversity and Inclusion Group was first conceptualized by DIG President Nacer Carrillo. Nacer is of Mexican American heritage and a Los Angeles native who has worked with Digistream for 14 years. During his time with Digistream, he has served as a Surveillance investigator, Senior Claims Investigator, Field Operations Coordinator, Field Operations Manager, and has recently been promoted to Investigative Consultant for the Digistream Inland Empire affiliate. Nacer’s journey with Digistream has allowed him to see the evolution of Digistream. As the 4th investigator in the Los Angeles affiliate, Nacer has seen the brand develop into a company that celebrates diversity and encourages inclusion from all members of our growing team.
In the fall of 2020, the DigiStream brand took a crucial step forward in solidifying the Diversity and Inclusion group. The Diversity and Inclusion board is composed of streamers from throughout the brand in various positions across the country. Each of our board members share in our core mission and passion in creating a space that will make our organization a more equitable and supportive place for ALL ‘Streamers. Our group strives to cultivate and foster a culture of communication and inclusion of ideas from those who are underrepresented within the brand. In 2021, the Diversity and Inclusion held its first brand call and in our first year, 13 ‘Streamers shared their cultural backgrounds, experiences of inequities, and stories that resonated with others across our Brand.
DigiStream’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Group aims to create an enriching and supportive culture that allows all employees to prosper. We will use collaborative efforts to ensure that the Brand fosters an environment that respects and celebrates diversity in all forms.
Creating a diverse working culture throughout all our affiliates allows team members to express their individuality and encourages efficient and healthy communication. We want everyone at DigiStream to feel supported and included, and we want our clients to feel the same.
Our human capital is the most valuable asset we have. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that our employees invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture but our reputation and the company’s achievements as well.
We embrace and encourage our employees’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our employees unique.
Digistream’s diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and recreational programs; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity that encourages and enforces:
- Respectful communication and cooperation between all employees.
- Teamwork and employee participation, permitting the representation of all groups and employee perspectives.
- Work/life balance through flexible work schedules to accommodate employees’ varying needs.
- Employer and employee contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.
All employees of Digistream have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. All employees are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion during work, at work functions on or off the work site, and at all other company-sponsored and participative events.
Our DigiStream family is growing. Diversity is what heralds that growth and contributes to individual success and the ultimate continual success of our Brand.
